Gus Malek-Madani presented at the September 17, 2012 Storage Developers Conference held at the Hyatt Regency, Santa Clara. The topic, ‘Getting the Most from Your Hadoop Nodes’, presented the impact of ambient vibration on commodity server performance. Recent testing established performance drops up to 50%. When the servers were placed in Green Platforms’ vibration solution, a significant portion of the performance was reinstated.
