Leadership Gus Malek-Madani, CEO/CTO Gus is the founder and chief technologist of Green Platform Corp. He is a Professional Engineer with twenty five years experience in design/manufacturing of Carbon Fiber products and vibration mitigation. Gus founded three companies: Composite Rotor, a venture backed company where he started as VP Engineering and subsequently took the company to profitability as CEO. Composite Products, LLC, an anti vibration line of products for high end audio/video market. Gus holds several US and international patents. Gus holds a BSME from University of Central Florida and MSME from University of Colorado in Boulder.
Larry Gordon, CMO Larry has over 26 years experience as a Sales and Marketing leader. After co-founding and selling the Internet Research Group to Jupiter, He co-founded The FactPoint Group, providing strategic market entry guidance to numerous F500 companies (including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, and Apple) as well as to over 25 start-ups. He spent 8 years in management positions at GTE Spacenet marketing Satellite Telecom Services. He holds a BS in Accounting from Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.
Dick Davison, CFO Dick has been CFO of five start-ups. As CFO at Solaicx, a producer of silicon wafers for solar cells, he helped to raise $50mm in Series B and CVC rounds and to construct a $20mm production facility. He was CFO of Microma, sub. of Intel Corp, which produced the world's first liquid crystal digital watch. He has also held V.P. positions in two public companies. He received an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA in Political Science from Occidental College.
Shames Panahi, VP Operations Shames is responsible for GPC's manufacturing and quality functions and has 23 years of experience in the high tech industry. Prior to GPC, Shames spent five years as vice President of operations at Turnstone Systems, the leader in DSL automation, managing all aspects of operations and manufacturing from inception to profitability, resulting in a highly successful IPO. Previously, Shames was director of manufacturing at Whitetree (acquired by Ascend), a leading manufacturer of desktop networking products. Prior to that, she was the manufacturing engineering manager at Network Equipment Technologies. Shames holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
Ali Rahimi, VP Business Development Ali brings over ten years of corporate partnering and business development expertise to GPC. His responsibilities include strategic alliances, building partnerships and broader business relationships for GPC. Most recently Ali was COO for himojo where he was responsible for overall corporate structuring efforts. Ali has been the lead in M&A corporate partnering and Strategic Alliances with leading Internet and e-commerce companies including Cisco Systems (CSCO), CommerceOne (CMRC), Yahoo (YHOO), Netscape (AOL), WebMD (HLTH), and many more. Mr. Rahimi held positions in Business Development and Marketing at Time Warner Inc., 1918 Corp., Perfect.com, and Errigo Group. Mr. Rahimi holds a Bachelors degree in Biological Chemistry, received his MBA from Santa Clara University and Masters in GSB program, Stanford University.
David Walling, VP Sales David has more than 30 years of sales experience in IT and Technology at IBM, with 13 years focused on storage. He is recognized as a creative, clear thinking, inspirational executive sales leader, leveraging marketing credentials, to grow revenue in new ventures or established $1B operations. At IBM, David successfully managed the launch of 4 new storage solutions for corporate customers in the global market, utilizing direct and indirect channels. He has an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Amir Youseffi, VP of Software and Electronic Engineering Amir is a Distributed Systems Architect with expertise in Big Data, Hadoop/MapReduce, Cloud Computing, Data Warehousing and Mobile Development. He has worked as Software Architect, Engineering Manager Sr. Data Warehousing/Java Engineer at Fortune/Inc 500 companies such as Yahoo, Apple and Plateau. As part of his work at Yahoo, Amir lead the software development team for Grid Management System (GMS) which runs monitoring system for 38,000 Hadoop nodes. He is Co-founder & CTO at ParsExpo e-commerce; Amir is an advisor to a number of high profile startups. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
